Ann – ICT Instructor

Ann, a Liberties local, grew up in Marrowbone Lane Flats and South Brown Street.  She returned to education at 23 in Inchicore College of Further Education and later Glasgow University where she received a BTecnol (Hons) in Leisure and Recreation Management.  She had a number of careers before the Training Centre including; health and fitness instructor, personal assistant, personal trainer, administrator, bartender, caterer and a stint in the music industry.  She joined the Liberties Training Centre as an instructor in May 1999 and although the Centre changes constantly and offers a widening variety of modules she enjoys all the challenges this brings. Betty – Catering assistant

Being the longest member of staff at 19 years, Betty is part of a handful of staff which has worked in the centre during it’s time in New Market. Betty brings a wealth of experience to the job, both directly and indirectly relating to her primary duties. She acts as a role-model and mother figure to trainees who would rather talk to her than an instructor. Betty is well liked and has sentimental value from ex-trainees.
