Joe – General Manager
Joe has been involved in CTC work since 1983 and has been manager of the Liberties Training Centre since 2009.
He is a native of Fermanagh and has lived in Dublin since 1972 . His qualifications include a BA Degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Certificate in Voluntary Sector Management from Dublin City University. He enjoys Tennis, Cycling and Running
Ann – ICT Instructor
Ann, a Liberties local, grew up in Marrowbone Lane Flats and South Brown Street. She returned to education at 23 in Inchicore College of Further Education and later Glasgow University where she received a BTecnol (Hons) in Leisure and Recreation Management. She had a number of careers before the Training Centre including; health and fitness instructor, personal assistant, personal trainer, administrator, bartender, caterer and a stint in the music industry. She joined the Liberties Training Centre as an instructor in May 1999 and although the Centre changes constantly and offers a widening variety of modules she enjoys all the challenges this brings. While working as an instructor she completed a BA(Hons) in Training and Education with NUI Galway.
Ann volunteers with Donore Avenue Credit Union and is the chairperson of the oversite committee. She is a director and the financial officer of LOOK (Loving Our Out Kids) and organises and facilitates parent support groups. She is very involved with the Liberties Festival and remains an active member of the Liberties community.

Diploma in Training and Education, Certificate in Professional Cookery and Certificate in Advanced Pastry.
I completed my apprenticeship in a Private Members Club. I have also worked in a number of hotels and restaurants all at a very high level. Since joining the Liberties Training Centre I have volunteered my time and efforts in local community based events including the Liberties Festival and the Old folks Christmas Dinner.
Sara – Sports & Fitness Instructor

Carmel, having worked for years in SICCDA, is working with the Liberties Training Centre for over 10 years now. she brings her experience and expertise to the team in the centre.
Mairead – Maths teacher
Betty – Catering assistant
Being the longest member of staff at 19 years, Betty is part of a handful of staff which has worked in the centre during it’s time in New Market. Betty brings a wealth of experience to the job, both directly and indirectly relating to her primary duties. She acts as a role-model and mother figure to trainees who would rather talk to her than an instructor. Betty is well liked and has sentimental value from ex-trainees.
Karl – Pre-Apprentice Engineering Instructor
Karl started his engineering career in 1982. He has worked in small general engineering workshops, precision tool rooms and high tech production facilities. During his time in industry he has trained many apprentices to a high professional standard.
Karl joined the Liberties Training Centre instructor’s team in 2003.
Qualifications: Honours BA in Training and Education. Irish National Craft certificate. Senior Trade certificate. JEB ICT teacher’s diploma. City & Guilds certification in Pneumatics, Analogue Electronics, Digital Electronics, Industrial Robotics and Maintenance of Automated Factory Systems. Manual Handling Instructor certificate. Abrasive wheels Instructor certificate. Infinity Project teacher’s certificate.
